I started an arrangement for my arranging class in school in a different time signature but ended up using 3/4 at 160 bpm, where the drum groove is based on 8th notes. But in fact I realised it would have made more sense to use a **16th ** groove, which is easier to perceive. I tried using the Half Note Duration feature, whcih worked, but I have to manually adjust every single note, which I’m sure it will also make me delete some stuff. Is there an easy way to deal with this? Let me know. Im using Dorico 4.0
If you want to close up the gaps when shortening notes, have Insert mode active before halving their duration.
There are different Insert mode scopes though, so make sure you’re using the correct one for your needs:
PS Dorico 4.2 is the latest version, do update as 4.1 and 4.2 (and the ones inbetween) added all sorts of useful things!
