V2.1.6 crash when re-ordering songs

I needed to re-order some of the songs for a show I’ve got coming up. I was using the setlist view to move a song and VL crashed. The crash log is attached here;
vl-crash.txt.zip (17.7 KB)
…and here is a link to the offending project file: Wolf Creek 2024-10-05.vlprj - Google Drive
Please let me know if there is anything else you need to reproduce/fix this issue.
Thanks
Eric

… thank you, @ericwentz. We’ll analyse it and return to that topic if we have any result.

Michael.

confirm here on win10, moving on songlist crash, it does not happen if moving song on prj list

i’m rolling back immediately…

Played around with your project, cannot make it crash. We could not yet resolve the crash log.

What did you move, and where? I assumed you are in the setlist editor and drag Songs from the middle column to the right setlist.
Did you have “SYNC” enabled? Was the setlist to the right activated? Any details will help, thanks.

It crashed on me too, moving up or down so fa from the right list (sync off).

Nowbreverted to 2.1.5 no crashes

… can you please check if crash-logs were created? Can you share them with us?

Michael.

… can you please check if crash logs were created, too?

Thank you,
Michael.

I was moving the order of songs in the setlist editor (right-hand column) for the selected set. SYNC was not set. I’ve reverted to 2.1.5 and the problem is not there.

@Spork
the files on steinberg dump are created as 0kb, totally empty,
CrashDumps.zip (652 Bytes)

but i recover on my backup on line these, on app/user/…/local/crashdump
(now deleted by uninstaller REVO when i rollback, i think these recovered are the same event of the folder /steinberg/crashdump)
link wetransfer (too big to upload here).

… thank you very much for your help! We’ve found it. And we are very sorry for that one.

Please re-try with the next Update.
Michael.
