VariAudio vs. Melodyne

Uno.

I’ll have to go try it again to remember all the reasons why…

I didn’t do audio quality comparison between the two,

but editing wise:

in VariAudio it takes more time and more key clicks. for exmaple in order to less-en the vibrato I have to scroll to the left and move “straighten pitch” slider. In Melodyne I just right click select “pitch modulation”, click and move the cursor.

But the biggest reason. I hate “precise” mouse clicking. and in order to select pitch drift editing at the beginning or at the end of a note in variaudio I have to very carefully and slowly aim at the top right or left corner and click. This is what I hate the most about VariAudio. If it wasn’t for this I think I would be using VariAudio right now instead of Melodyne.

edit:

just did some audio comparing. twice variaudio introduced an artifact when raised a pitch of a note but the constant at the end of the word didn’t get pitch shifted up, and there was no way of fixing it because variaudio dispalyed that part as pitch shifted up. I undone everything. tried again, same thing.
