I am using Variaudio on a large project and finding that it slows down the CPU and I get little 2-5 sec bursts of the spinning beach ball on mac pro 2014. Everything freezes for a moment then releases and back to work. I notice it when I start adding variaudio to tracks.
My question is…
What is your workflow with VA? I am comping vocal lines, then tuning, going back to clean up edit points, fades, breathe etc. Then moving onto to back up vox tracks to do the same. Should I be bouncing or flattening when using variaudio to save CPU?
Should I make a correction on a track then immediately bounce or flatten it?
Any suggestions are appreciated
