After successfully tuning 20+ tracks yesterday I noticed something odd with relation to the Pitch & Warp and Segment tabs. .
\
IF I have the SAMPLE EDITOR open and go go back and forth from the Project Page to the Editor, the Pitch & Warp or Segment TAB will keep its state whichever one its on
IF Ive opened the LOWER ZONE with the Variaudio, when I click on the Project area and then go back to the lower zone I then have to A) Click in the ZONE to activate it. B). I have to then click on the Pitch & Warp or Segment tab I had selected before.
If I select the OPEN IN SEPARATE WINDOW arrow it functions the SAME as the LOWER ZONE and DOES NOT keep the Pitch&Warp nor Segment TAB state.
Im wondering WHY Cubase does not keep the Pitch & Warp or Segment setting when going from the the LOWER ZONE to the Project area? Is this by design? if so why as it requires us to click on the tabs constantly to get back to where we were.
My guess is they are not expecting us to click outside the editor while editing in the lower zone, BUT, when I open the EDITOR I can go back and forth and not have to reset the tabs.
If you change the selection that’s what happens, yes. But if you don’t, say by using to navigate or by not clicking on another event the selection and tabs state are retained, at least that what happens here.

Sounds like a good FR, that the state of tabs be cloned when you use the Open in a Separate Editor command.

Here, if I switch zones without changing the selection when I switch back to the L.Z. Sample Editor the tabs are indeed returned to the state they were in.
**I find myself wanting a better way to move the Quantize and the Straighten slider instead of having to mouse clear up to the left to get it every time. A key command for those would be great, hold down a key, arrow left /right
