So I have imported the first movement of my 4th symphony into Dorico.
In Finale you use layers for “instrument” 1 and 2, my understanding in Dorico it is preferred to use players and then condense them for the score. So I added new players for second part and moved that part using move to staff below or duplicate to staff below.
I’m getting lots of messy results in condensed mode sometimes it works great but other times it looks like
with more dynamics then are needed.
How do I fix double dynamics without removing it from the part?
How to I make the Flute dynamics appear under the staff when it is the only on playing?
Also why on the left hand page is the clarinet dynamic look right but then on the right hand page it split in to 2 even though the dynamic started out fine.
And another example of this happening with the Bassoons.
How do I fix all this so the score looks good?
