I never used the VCA function in Nuendo (got along fine without it!) But thought recently I might give it a try, however when I assign things to different VCAs and working on automation passes, it al works fine. When I then call the song up again there seems to be a rouge automation point at the start of the song which joins to the first written automation point?
This happens even when I don’t use the VCAs for automation
Any ideas?
Best practice for using VCAs in Nuendo is to have already existing automation points on VCA tracks and the tracks that the VCAs are controlling… before starting to work on them.
There is a bug that’s been around for a long time that is solved by having those automation points so that’s why you should use them. I’m not sure if that’s the bug you’re talking about, but that’s best practice as far as I can see.
