Trying to use detect silence (which I never use) on an audio file I recorded with Cubase Pro 15 gives me this crash right away:
Now, this seems to happen on a specific file of the five that the project has so far, and it happens every time, at least four times already. The file was recorded with Cubase Pro 15 just a few days ago, and there was nothing weird going on while recording like power issues. The same file opens fine in Wavelab Pro 12.
Unfortunately I can’t upload the file, but I already uploaded the crash log file to Steinberg when it offered me to do it at launch after each crash.
Hi,
Attach the mentioned *.dmp file, please.
Cubase 15.0.21 64bit2026.5.16 10.30.07.653.dmp (1.3 MB)
If that’s not the one you need, but the one called “Cubase15.exe.18384.dmp”, let me know and I’ll upload to my Google Drive then post the link, because that one is 211 MB, which obviously this forum doesn’t allow me to attach.
Hi,
This looks like a different crash (different time), so the description probably doesn’t match.
OK, so I posted this on the 16th, and there are three dumps from that day, but each time Cubase crashed that day was because of this problem.
Here are the other two:
Cubase 15.0.21 64bit2026.5.16 10.13.54.172.dmp (1.2 MB)
Cubase 15.0.21 64bit2026.5.16 10.09.12.014.dmp (1.2 MB)
Hi,
Reported to Steinberg. Thank you.
