I’m currently experiencing a weird behavior when trying to edit the velocity of some notes in the properties and key editor.
Specifically, the velocity value shown in the properties (> 0) differs from the one shown in the key editor (0), as shown in the screenshots below:
Additionally, if I then try to adjust the value in no matter which way, in the key editor, the new value is not accepted and it gets reset to 0.
Where this problem occurs, the playing techniques are also not applied, as shown in the second screenshot above.
The issue persists after restarting the application and between saves.
I’ve seen this before but a quick search didn’t yield anything (I think I even reported it). Notice also you don’t have a playback technique for that note (not even the default Natural). Double check the expression map for duplicate techniques or overlapping filters.
Also check voices and independent voice playback. The issue I was alluding to above had to do with individual percussion kit members that somehow got detached from the routing (no route to the VST). This led to the exact symptoms you describe above.
That’s about all I got without the actual project to help diagnose.
Have you tried removing and then inputting the note again?
I have further investigated the issue and it appears to be associated with expression map definition, although I don’t know yet how or why this happens.
In any case, thank you for your assistance.
