Velocity when adding a note

Cubase 15 latest version. In my score editor I want to add a second half note to the measure but when adjusting the velocity, there is no difference in softness. Why?

Hi,

The sound might be programmed this way.

  1. Add the 1st half-note (Velocity 100).
  2. Change the Note Insert Velocity.

  3. Add the 2nd half-note.
  4. Double-check in the Key Editor (or List Editor), the 2nd MIDI Note has Velocity 76.
