Verse lyrics, Left justified centered on note

I know this has come up before, and I hope this feature is added in a future release, but I’m curious what work arounds others have used. This should be easy!
Most hymnals left justify and center on the note words and syllables at the beginning of a line or start of a new phrase. Finale has 2 functions that solve this - align and justify.

In Dorico, I know I can left-justify and move them manually in engrave, but that doesn’t adjust spacing. I can’t figure out an easy way to make it look right.

If I’m understanding your request, this is already supported in Dorico.

Excellent, can’t believe that I missed that.

This works for the start of the system, but is there a way to achieve the same thing at the beginning of a new phrase that is not at the start of the system?

No. But you could select those, and change the alignment in the properties panel. Still would require adjustment.
