I have been running N12 for some time now and recently installed N13 Trial version to see if it would still work with my SmartAV Tango control surface - it doesn’t, so I have continued to use N12. Today I installed the N13.0.21 update to see if it would work with the Tango - it still doesn’t, so I went back to N12. Unfortunately, since installing the N13.0.21 update N12 no longer sees the Tango! N11 still works with the Tango but N12 has stopped working!

What could there possibly be in N13 that would affect N12 in this way?

Is Tango using its component? If this is the case, I would try to reinstall the component (maybe it will work in N13 too then).

Yes, the Tango was using its component (Netsmart.exe).
The problem turned out to be firewall permissions!
I can’t imagine why installing the Nuendo 13.0.21 update would make both N12 and N13 not see the Tango on my system. Both N12 and N13 are now seeing the Tango control surface.
