Why does the text go to the top when I choose vertical alignment bottom?
It looks like you have a carriage return before the visible text. Bottom alignment will put the bottom of the text at the bottom of the frame; top alignment will put the carriage return at the top of the frame (and push the text down).
If this is coming from a token, you won’t see the carriage return in Project Info. The easiest thing to do is to highlight the whole field, delete, and retype.
I’m too tired at the moment to go deeper into this, but I’ve not changed anything anywhere. So this carriage return must be something in the template.
Can you upload the project?
In your file we were talking about in the other thread, there is indeed a carriage return (visible as a space) before the composer’s name in the Project info:
Select this “space” and delete it — as @asherber is pointing out, this is probably what causes your issue.

Calling it a space makes me understand it better.
However, hitting the return key (carriage return) after placing the cursor in front of the name, moves the cursor to the next box (Lyricist) and does not create a space.
(I haven’t been hear for a while so I’ve forgotten parts of what more I was going to add to this post. However, I seem to have figured out how to make it look the way I want.)
Could it be you’ve copied that text (including a CR) and pasted that in the composer field?
May I ask, have you also had this issue? How where you able to figure it out? It doesn’t seem like something that comes to you as a matter of course. And I doubt there’s anything in the manual explaining oddities like this.

In my experience (in username / password/ email forms of web applications) this is a very common cause of errors.
Users don’t notice they don’t copy just the text but inadvertently also copy spaces, carriage returns, tabs, periods etc . Which might lead to errors.
But, when you know it’s a risk, you can be careful next time 
I haven’t experienced it myself, but it’s come up before here on the forum.
AFAIK you can’t enter directly a carriage return in a single-line field of the Project info in Dorico, but you can copy-paste something which contains one, and you’ll get it, looking like a space in the Project Info, but like a real carriage return in your page.
When you copy/paste from a web page, it’s quite frequent to import one unintentionally:
I just noticed that during editing of these parameters, at some point, there’s a carriage return added to that field even if I’ve removed it. I haven’t pinpointed how to reproduce it and we’ll see if I feel like doing it some time.
Perhaps it’s in the Page template frame, before the token?
That could also cause this issue, but in this case @charles_piano did find the carriage return in Project Info.
