Vertical alignment text staff

Hi there,

I can’t find a setting in Engraving Options to shrink the vertical space between text and staff. Only setting I can find is for the Vertical Position of protruding items. Is that correct?

Right now the ‘melody’ takes up way too much space for my liking, it almost looks like a lyrics line 3. I’ve run into this issue multiple times before.

I’d prefer not to manually move the text since things like staff spacing won’t change placement.

Edit Paragraph Styles > (select yours) > check Distance from staff
