Unfortunately I cannot figure out why the position of half rests in the perc. staff is shifted. Any ideas?
Please, upload your Dorico file, to see what the cause is.

I’m not sure why it puts the rests in voice 3. If you change it to 5-line staff it works, otherwise you can activate the rest pos. property for the offending rests.
Since it’s a kit with grid representation, each line is treated as a separate instrument even if it looks like a 5-line staff.

Thank you, I know the properties’ panel method, I was just looking for a general solution.
Yes, sorry, don’t know any general solution, since if you change the player to use a 5-line staff, all the instruments change. Maybe someone else has a solution.

It seems to be the default. Here the Full Score shows a 5-line grid and the part shows a 5-line staff.
So, in your case, you would need to separate the Percussion in two players, each of one containing one of the two percussion kit. That way, you can keep a grid for Trommels and Tom-tom, and have a 5-line for the Holzblocks - which results to a correct default vertical position of your rests.
After all I decided to choose a 5-line-staff, since this is the only option where rests are distributed clearly and consistently. I find it very confusing how rests are handled in grids: always jumping up and down from one line to the other. There should be an option do display them in the middle of the grid or on one specified line.
