Hi all,
I’d like the lines in this example to be aligned at the same height. The problem comes from the fact that I set “Gap between abutting barline-attached lines” to 0 in Engraving Options. I did this because I want the final hook of one line to coincide perfectly with the initial hook of the following line.
I assume Dorico moves the following line upward to avoid collisions between the two lines, but I can’t find the option to prevent Dorico from making this adjustment.
Any ideas?
Hi @lorenzopagliei, here the settings that give the desired result:
The Default distance from staff depends on your highest item protruding from the staff/staves.
The negative value for Minimum distance from protruding item is given from the sum of the hook length and the line width:

btw, the negative value of the “Minimum distance from protecting items” will cause collisions with elements on top of the stave.
Of course, I can enlarge the Default distance from the staff.
