How can we increase the vertical space between the bar numbers and the staves in a score? I changed all the parameters in the engravings rules and also in paragraph styles, but nothing changes…

Layout Options → Bar Numbers → Placement → Minimum Distance from Staff.
In the right panel, select the layouts you want your new settings to apply to.
