I’m working on a score for choir and cello, and I’ve come upon an odd spacing issue. Spacing Test.dorico (817.4 KB) The vertical spacing on pp. 2 and 4 is quite nice and spacious, but the spacing on p. 3 is much more squished together with more negative space in the middle of the page. I’m pretty sure it has something to do with the lyrics—specifically, the lyrics in the tenor part on the second system, since the problem resolves itself when I delete them—but I can’t figure out what’s causing it, or how to avoid it. Any suggestions are much appreciated.
If you change Justify Distance only… to 90% under Library->Layout Options->Vertical Spacing
You can see in Engrave mode that it’s 81.2% full, so anything above that.
