…place the cursor where I want?
Hi, I opened a project started with CB 13, selected a piano track and launched Cubase 14 Score Editor …wow! Piano staves, nothing to do, every note in its place…wonderful!
I do, however, have a few problems, such as how to position the cursor where I want to play the song?
Another one: I click on a note, I hear it but when I change notes with the direction arrows, I can’t hear the next ones. Do you have these problems, or do I need to adjust them?
Thanks for your help.
You can’t, as of yet.
The missing acoustic playback for selected note using the arrow, or moving notes, is a known issue.
You can select an item in the score (rests won’t work, but notes, barlines, anything else should do), then press “L”, which is the default shortcut for the Locate command.
That’s something we are looking to improve in an upcoming release.
@Maestro, @StefanFuhrmann : thanks a lot for your help!
Can you please, please re-introduce the possibility to set the cursor location with shift/option-click as it was in the old score editor and as it is in the rest of the program? That’s really an annoying oversight I must say…
Thank you very much!
Yes, absolutely, that’s planned for an upcoming patch release.
Thank you very much, that’s very good news!
