Older editions of classical music often skipped rehearsal letter J, going from I to K. I know I can accomplish this by changing the sequence index on J, but it would be nice if there were an engraving option to automatically skip J if the sequence type is Letters.

I know of some middle school band teachers that would absolutely pay extra for a feature that will not place a rehearsal mark at bar 69 ![]()

Four bars of intro, then eight times eight will get you there. It’s a surprisingly common one.

Marc Evanstein is well worth following.
His scamp library for python makes it simple to generate stuff like this and produce xml or MIDI for import into Dorico.
