(Video) Feature Request for Cubase 15 (or later) - Workspaces

Hi fellow Cubasers.

The last year and a half I’ve spent quite some time trying to improve my workflow.
This is all from adding/replacing hardware, changing ergonomics, organizing plug-ins etc.
In that also includes learning Cubase more thoroughly and implementing features I’ve not really used previously.

Getting to the point, I started using workspaces. I loved the idea of being able to set up “profiles” for my channels using workspaces. What I mean by a profile is a one-click scene which brings up pretty much everything I want related to a specific channel, for example all plug-ins on a certain channel.

Until recently I do believe that by clicking on a key and having all plug-ins opened on a certain channel was only possible using workspace. I know you could use the mouse along with modifier keys to open all inserts but I hate to rely on the mouse.

Now in Cubase 14 we have the Open/Close insert key commands which allows you to set up a macro so you can open all insert on a channel with one click. However setting everything up is somewhat time consuming in my opinion, and I’m not talking about setting up the macro cause once that is done it is done. I mean the entire process for every profile you would have to do (I demonstrate this in the video)
Also if you want to make changes to such a profile it takes some time as well.

Workspaces works wonder in the way that adding workspaces and updating them takes very little time, and I believe it can be even faster with some of the ideas I represent in the video.
There are however limitations for workspaces, such as not being able to use dedicated key commands for more than workspace 1-9, spoiler alert that is one of the changes I want to see.

This is basically what I talk about in the video and I would love for you guys to watch it to see whether my ideas are something you are interested in seeing as well or not.

Thank you!

Disclaimer - I know there may be quicker ways creating the macros depending on how you create them, but I think that regardless how you create them my point still stands that being able to use workspace solely for what I want to achieve in the video would be faster and more fluid. If I am wrong please correct me.
