Coming to terms with gettin’ old. Written/recorded a few months ago, and as usual had to wait weeks for the wife to be absent before finally attempting a uninhibited vocal… going for that Cohen-esque baritone on the verses in this one - breath and pitch control proving to be quite challenging!

Very good ,nice playing and great mix as usual and the video suits the lyrics .just listened again great playing love the orchestration with all the instruments ,cello in the right ear and the distortion guitar in the left ear playing some really effective stuff, they work great.

I get what you mean @MrSoundman . It’s indeed impressive what AI can do. And I also respect all the work and dedication that was put into this music video by @Sherz.
However, on an artistic level it seems unfair to compare an iconic music video like A-ha’s “Take On Me” which was crafted by video artists in their own right to a one-man+AI show. I know for sure that I could never pull of such a masterpiece of music video art myself even with the help of the most advanced AI.
To clarify, I was being complimentary. It’s astonishing what @Sherz has achieved here, in comparison to what would have been required prior to the availability of these tools, and I have no problem with the ML technology that was used to produce the video, and it’s clearly marked as such.
I had also commented favorably on the music in the original post by @Sherz.
The reference to Louise Penny (the author) is because she happens to have published a novel with the same title.
Yes, I know. That’s what I was trying to say with “I get what you mean”. I must admit that my post can indeed be misread quite easily. I should have been more clear, mea culpa.
I was trying to add an additional perspective to the discussion by pointing out that it would be unfair to @Sherz to compare his work with one of the most iconic music videos ever made on the level of artistry. A-ha’s music video is iconic for a reason if you look at the composition, storyboard, techniques, colour grading, shifts in pace, choice of perspectives and then some. All these details are based on countless artistic decisions made by human video artists. An AI is simply not capable to compete on this level.
I tried to emphasize that @Sherz put a lot of work and hours into the making of his video and that this deserves respect and credits as well. No matter if you like or dislike AI generated videos.
In other words, these two music videos require different lenses if you look at them and a direct comparison would do @Sherz 's work injustice.
EDIT: Disclaimer. Personally, I would always prefer an original human made music video over any AI generated video for various reasons. Even if the first one was just a collage of some handpicked photos or video sequences. To me that’s so much easier to relate with. But that wasn’t the point of my post even though I am most probably biased. Like @Sherz said right at the start - if I was totally AI video averse I could have moved on.
