Hello, I have a problem with this video and wonder if its about some codec in my pc or the nuendo video engine. please HELP! it just says is not supported but I ve been working with very similar videos for weeks now and Im in a terrible rush
Without going into fine detail. The easiest solution to get any video working, without wasting time, is to get shutter encoder (free), and convert to a different format. (Try h264 mp4 for example).
That’s a crazy long pathname/filename, for the hell of it try renaming it to something more sensible or otherwise shortening the name of the file and/or directory it’s in.

And IMO use Shutter Encoder to transcode to a ProRes Proxy video (.mov). Works great in Nuendo, I’ve never had an issue.
( of course the video in this scenario is just a reference right? )
I can duplicate the error message on an otherwise working MP4 by putting it in a similarly long path. There are older API functions that limit the total pathname to 260 characters and some functions probably die at 255.

You know you were very accurate, the name was the problem as soon as I made it shorter it worked as always… (it was the name of the video and I usually keep this for organizing fast and efficient work ) Also the autosave was the one that gave me the tip as 2 minutes after I left the project to come and seek for help, a pop up appeared saying the Autosave was failling and one reason could be the lenght of the name. Thanks to all the answers
