Vienna Ensemble Pro 8 and Dorico

I have a hard time while using VEP 8 with Dorico 6.1. I use VEP 8 to load Kontakt instruments and third-party effect plugins.

First, the VEP Server often freezes forever. Then, I force quit and relaunch the VEP Server. Then, I want to update the VEP client in Dorico to use the new VEP servers. Clicking “Edit Instrument” does not show the VST window. In fact, there is nothing happened. Then, I switch to the “Write” tab in Dorico. Dorico freezes.

Any one got workarounds?

Hi @sunnych , please send me a diagnostic report. From your description it sounds like the audio engine is crashing and therefore Dorico freezing in. I want to see if there are crash dumps in the diagnostics. Thanks
