View leaps to another part of the score when I change or close voice filter

I’m sure this is new behaviour. In Galley view, when I change the voice filter selection, or release it, the window jumps to another part of the score, even if I select a note to try and keep my present location in view. I’ve used the filters a lot over a long period, and I’m pretty certain that this wasn’t happening before. This shows a change of filter, followed by a return to the original one:

I’ve noticed it too, although I don’t remember if it was also this way in the past. I’m guessing that it is remembering your position from the last time you used that filter, so when you go back to a filter after having moved on elsewhere, the jump appears abrupt. I’m not sure if this is by design or providence but for now, I’m in the habit of using Ctrl-G to go to the bar I should be looking at whenever it does this.

Come to think of it - since Dorico has to re-render every time one switches a view filter, it would be handy to cache that… just guessing here.

I don’t think it’s new at all. I think it’s been doing it to me for at least three or four years, at least since version 4. Maybe longer. And not just under the circumstances you describe, but any old time it feels like it, no matter what I’m doing.
