I can open as many plugins as I like from the mixer (by double clicking the pugin name in the insert rack). If I have the mixer set to ‘Always On Top’ then each time I click to open a new plugin, the previous plugin will remain open but it may be obscured by the mixer page coming to the front as I click to open another plugin (this depends obviously on where the plugin windows are positioned, but the old plugins do not get closed as I open a new plugin). If I have the mixer maximised then I can keep opening numerous plugins and they will all stay at the front, visible over the mixer. Makes no difference if they are stock or third party. This seems completely normal and I am struggling to see what has changed. Are you not getting this behaviour?
Ok now this is weird. My mixer was set to always on top and I could only open one gui at a time. I deselected “on top” and reselected it and now I can open multiple gui’s Hmmmm
nope every time a stock plugin is opened it closes to previous plugin on the same mixing channel , i can have as many as i like open as long as they are from different channels but not on the same one unless as thinkingcap says opened via the inspector
right i think i’ll roll back as i defiantly can’t not open the stock plugin’s like that it doesn’t matter if "always on top " has been selected ,deselected ,full screen ,resized or not i can still only open one at a time , so roll back it is , cheers fella’s
It happened to me yesterday and I know as a fact multiple pluins would open in the mixer in the previous version but today the whole mixer is working fine…for now
im hoping the same is said here dman but it’s a strange one , no joke i can only one one plugin at a time , ohhh well but if all works as expected tomorrow thinkingcaps going to see a bloke eating his boxers
right now … if i load a plugin and move it from the mixer (monitor 2) to my third monitor and then click on another insert the first one stays open so to have more than one on one channel open i have to move them to my third monitor one at a time… that i can live with so it’s no big issue so i apologise to those on this thread and steiny for my outburst earlier
I was wrong about it working. The mixer was fine when I went back to an old V5 project but when I load a project I started in V7 the mixer is scrambled which makes me wonder if there’s something written in the project to cause this.
Just for your information, I don’t have this issue either with projects started in v7.0, or with projects started in v5 (haven’t started any new ones in v7.02 as yet).
when i loaded the teleporter c7 demo from steinberg in to c7.2 it only loaded half the mixer and when i closed the project without shutting c7 it’s self and loaded one of my projects it only loaded half the mixer as well but when i shut down c7 and then reloaded my c7 project all was as it should be ,some things not right
BTW, it seems we’re back to the old behavior with sends as far as double-clicking them goes. Now, with Cubase 7.0.2, double-clicking on the send will no longer bring up the Send’s plugin GUI and instead lets me enter an exact numerical value. No more selecting it first, then pressing Enter…yay!!!
