Virtual Keyboard does not go up enough octaves to trigger plug in presets

How do I get cubase to go up at least one more ocatave on it’s virtual keyboard when it is all the way to the right and will not allow me to go up one or two more to reach the preset keys in Keepforest Appex so I can record midi and use it?

Right now it stops one and a half short and the plugins do not recognize using the mouse to click the keys when recording for some reason, which makes zero sense to me, but yeah.

So right now I can’t make something in the designer and grab midi because it requires me to physically push a key, which the cubase virtual keyboard does not allow since it caps it at C6 when I need it to go to C7.

I just came from samplitude and did not have this issue since it goes all the way to the far right of the entire piano layout past C8.

Is there a preference setting or something that defaults it to not go past C6?

Edit:

Ok so I found someone in a discord channel that mentioned there was a transformer in the midi insert options, which allowed me to force it another octave higher…

So technically it works with that workaround, just a bit of inconvenience when it should naturally go all the way to each side by default.
