Visibility of range selection (between locators) on individual tracks

Hi all, I am desperately looking for an option to make the area between the two locators “highlighted” or iow “visible” on all tracks while moving the locators.

The purpose is to see, where the locator is on the respective track.

Thx, Ernst

I would like that feature, too.

Oh, thank you … I thought I was just missing something…

I found a way around, though: I use the range selection on the track an then set the locators using “P”… which is ok for what I am currently doing, but still - the feature would be helpful imho.

Almost surely I’m missing something, but I thought this is how it already works.

For example, here, I have a range highlighted:

When manually selecting the range, we can have Preferences→Editing→Cycle Follows Range Selection on. Then we don’t even need the P shortcut.

Thank you for that. Two additional questions: 1) Would you share the color settings for tracks you are using? (Reason I am asking is that with the default settings in cubase the appearance of the events in the selected area does not follow the selection).

  1. Does the “area” move visible when you move any of the locators as well?

Thx, Ernst

I never touched any color settings, so they must be the default ones.

From what I see, the area does move once we finish the locator movement.

Thank you!

In Cubas 15 things look different here.

And: well, so the area only follows the locator only after setting it and not while moving it. This is an inconvenience, obviously.

Yes, that is the point of this topic. It would be nice to see the locator while it is being moved. Use case: I might have a certain spot like a transient in the 15th track from above on the screen and I want to place the locator right there. When zoomed out it is even hard to get the correct bar.
