Just saw the WL9 teaser…
Cubase doesn’t follow the wavelab devolopment. They have totally different gui (in the past). WL already has docking windows for a long time.
If your logic works out I’m blue 
…Hope they consider it, it’s a good workflow.
Though I always thought that most included plugins have a shared base…
WaveLab is pretty much a one man show, and has nothing to do with Cubase.
