I’ve just bought Audio Technica AT2020 condenser microphone and the vocals sound like that there 2 streets down from where i live, I’m getting very little volume although the levels tell me different I’m also using Auto Tune reverb so what am i not doing?
regards albert
Have you turned on Phantom power for that microphones input?
You should tell us what audio interface you’re using…
Hi Steve I’m using Yamaha stienberg UR22c
As @steve suggested, have you turned on the actual Phantom Power Switch (you’ll find it on the back of your audiointerface), yet?
Yea I did
Have you adjusted the input level on your audiointerface properly?
What’s the input level in Cubase?
Are you using the USB version of that Mic? In that case try another USB port, please. It could also have something to do with the power supply.
Don’t get me wrong, but have you made sure to speak into the right side of the microphone?
I’ve had this with a singer who wanted to record his own vocals and did exactly that…
Yeah, that would be my first guess too.
Screen shots (or writeup) of your signal flow (plugins, routing etc) and levels would be helpful
So, how have you applied this, does it sound the same when you don’t use this effect? What lead are you using to connect your Microphone?
Hi I get a delay when it’s bypassed and I’m using a XLR cable, Autotune is under the Reverb tab as Vocal reverb regards
Albi
Hi Albi,
please be so kind and answer if you tried all the suggestions mentioned earlier. Otherwise we’ll be turning in circles…
Should I add it as an effect or directly through it like you would use a plugin?
And yes I have tried all of your suggestions and still no output
