Voice Designer Plugin Bug: Values change on Project reload

Hello!

I use Nuendo 12.0.070 build 464.

Today I found this problem with Voice Designer. Every time I save, close, and re-open the Nuendo project, some Plugin values differ without obvious reason. Specifically the lower value of the “GENERATOR” and “WET” sliders.

Repro:

  1. Create an Audio track
  2. Add Voice Designer as Insert Plugin, and open the plugin’s edit window
  3. Set the lower frequency of the “WET” slider to e.g. 500 Hz
  4. Save Project
  5. Close Project
  6. Re-Open Project
  7. Check the value
  8. Repeat steps 4 - 7

Result: The value gets smaller and smaller for no reason. It happens on mono, stereo, and group tracks.

I’ve tried a lot, from saving a plugin preset up to re-installing Nuendo, without success. Other colleagues have the same problem. And there might be other issues with other parameters that I just haven’t noticed …

It would be highly appreciated if other users here could confirm. Does it also happen with other Nuendo versions? How about in Cubase?

I hope this can be fixed soon, as it’s one of my goto plugins for certain voice effects. And having to manually set the values each time I open the project, is an undeniable risk factor. Also, passing over the project to colleagues for collaborating becomes kind of an irresponsible thing to do, etc.

Thanks!

Confirmed in v12. Doesn’t happen in v14.

FYI Cubase doesn’t feature this plug-in.
