And then trying to fix it, this happens:
You’re perhaps using more voices than you need to, and with “wrong” directions. Try to stick to using a single up-stem and down-stem voice and you should be better off. (It’s intentional that Dorico will make beams avoid noteheads for notes with the same stem direction, and there’s no way to disable that.)
