Longtime Cubase user here and I am aware that instantaneous volume boosts or cuts with automation can cause audible clicks - but what is really driving me crazy is I’ve implemented ramps up and down with automation and audible clicks still happen…and even more irritating is sometimes the click happens on an automation pass and sometimes it doesn’t on the exact same part. The behavior is totally illogical and super frustrating.
Can anyone guide me here? What can I do? I’m automating the volume on toms tracks from a drum recording. Some boosts are 7dB some 3db…some maybe more…but nothing super drastic. All advice would be very helpful because unfortunately the clicks are audible in the full mix. Thanks!
