Volume Levels Issues (Cubase)

Hello ! :slight_smile:

I’m having issues with the volume level of my kontakt instruments and overall master.

As you can see my Bass is at -6 dB and we can clearly hear it.
My double bass is at -2 dB (louder than my bass) and it’s almost indistinguishable.

My soundcard’s (UR44 by Steinberg) volume output is set exactly in the middle so I would like to understand where the volume balance problem is coming from and how to fix it ! ^^

Well, just because the volume fader of one channel is set at -2db doesn’t mean it’s louder than another channel set at -6db.
It only means that one channel is turned down 2db and the other is turned down 6db from their original levels. So it seems that the “Double Bass” is much lower in volume from the source.
