Voyage Audio Spatial Mic (HUO 2oa)

Hi,

It is impossible to use the vst ‘spatial mic converter’ plugin as an insert on an order 2 ambisonic track (2oa) .
here is the plugin : https://voyage.audio/wp-content/uploads/2024/08/Spatial_Mic_Converter_Plugin_Setup.dmg

Macbook pro M2, OSX Sequoia 10.15 - Nuendo 13.0.41

Thanks,
François

The Spatial Mic Converter is a 8 in / 12 out plug-in. Even though it’s using Ambisonics, the I/O configuration is not. You can work around this limitation by using Plogue Bidule plug-in (or similar) to host the Spatial Mic Converter within Nuendo.

You could also use Reaper to convert the files from A to B-Format before bringing them in Nuendo.

Hi Daniel,
You’re making a small mistake :
The Spatial Mic Converter is a 8 in / 9 out plug-in (Ambisonic 2nd order).

It worked perfectly with Nuendo’s previous version.

Yes, I can actually use REAPER to use this plugin (it works very well!)…
So why use and pay (expensive!) Nuendo if free solutions are more efficient?

Best,
François

Well, as it appears in Bidule and Reaper, the Spatial Mic Converter is only a 8 in / 12 out, no other I/O options. I’m not saying that it can not output 2nd order signal, but it does so on a 12-channel output bus.
