When I mark a note with two strokes single tremolo (Repeated Structures panel), Dorico simulates the tremolo but does not trigger the corresponding patch.
I checked the expression map, and there is a set of key switches already assigned.
But there is no tremolo option under playback techniques, so, Dorico uses the simulated tremolo instead.
Anyone knows a workaround for this?
Thanks!
I know tremolo does normally play back with Duality strings. You probably have to use the three strokes tremolo to trigger the unmeasured tremolo effect. It will most likely try to play back two strokes as a measured tremolo.
Thanks!
Yes, you were right.
The 3 strokes tremolo works fine. I was using the 2 stroke.
In my system, it triggers detache, but I’ve been tweaking the expression map, so it’s probably my fault.
You can go to playback options and specify the minimum number of strokes which will playback as tremolo using the dedicated library samples. Default is three strokes but you can even set it to one.
So for shorter notes you can use two strokes but you have to check how it sounds with the given tempo.
