Vsl studio perussion and its playback template

I bought, installed the percussion library today, also created the playback template from the Wizard in the VSL assistant. Is there some walkthrough video of how to use this in Dorico? I want to use a bassdrum on a single lined player and would like to get an understanding of how people switch between the different playing techniques and dynamics.

Many thanks, robert glotzbach

PS… I also asked this question on the VSL forum hoping to get more input.

Ok. So when you add your bass drum, does it get routed automatically? If yes, then it means VSL studio percussion is part of the playback template you have been using on this file and everything should be set and running fine. But then you wouldn’t be here asking questions…
So what could you do to make it work properly? Make sure the VSL vst player is loaded in your rack (play mode>left panel, VST rack tab) and that it’s loaded with the good library (percussion studio ?)
Then in the track routing tab or pressing on the cog of that vst, make sure you select the accurate percussion map that should be available thanks to the Wizard.
Now writing bass drum should sound ok.
