VSL Synchron Player in Dorico please stay open!

Can anybody tell me if there is an setting option, that the synchron player from VSL dosen‘t close automatically every time when i start the playback or click around the player?

Thanks

That’s fairly difficult I think because the Dorico audio engine runs as a completely separate program. So really, you have Dorico running as one program, and the VST Audio Engine running as another, and the Synchron Player is in the VST Audio Engine. I think it isn’t possible for Dorico to have a setting that forces a completely separate program to always be displayed on top of it.

On Windows might be a way of making the VST Audio Engine run “always on top” using one of the tools on this page, I’ve never tried: 5 Ways to Make a Window Always-on-Top on Windows 10 or Windows 11

But I have no idea if that could interfere with the proper functioning of Dorico in some other way.

I would agree with @mducharme in stating that synchron player isn’t closed, but is hidden by Dorico’s window. If you have enough real estate on your screen or two screens, you should find that it stays open even if it loses the focus.

Michael and Marc are correct with what they are writing.
