VST AmbiDecoder channel panner double processing / bypass?

Hi there, found this post when searching in the net for a solution. Nuendo 13 here meanwhile. But it seems nothin has changed.
I also made the experience, when trying to set up a cue mix with AmbiDecoder. Looks like it really doesn’t work. My workaround is to switch to Stereo as the main output. Also see here,

the part " How to Export a Binaural Stereo Audio Mixdown from Nuendo/Cubase?".
I know AmbiDecoder is tricky, but I gave it up for now, to get a cue mix working with 3OA as the main output.
And it seems, when I read the other post here, it also makes no sense to open a ticket for this. Which I was thinking about too.

Can’t hurt to try. Especially if you’re not in the US. Steinberg does not support the US directly, and we have to go through Yamaha. This adds a layer of delay and deflection, and several of my Yamaha tickets have gone for months and ended with, “so sorry, we just can’t figure out why that’s happening.”

That said, I’d think you should be able to use cue sends from a stereo group bus that is receiving decoded ambisonics. I’ve found using 3OA/4OA to Control Room can be a little crashy, and I obsessively save before switching monitoring modes. All else fails, you can send your summed ambisonics to a separate group bus for cue mix decoding (also helpful if using headtracking on your own monitor, where your head motions would throw off everyone else’s cue mixes), and if needed, route that to a stereo group bus for the cue sends.

Hi Thyme-Traveler, indeed, why not give it a try. And yes, cue sends works with ambisonics. But under Audio Connections/Outputs, I have to set the “Stereo Out” to main output. With 3OA as main no cue send.
