VST CC7 Volume Issue

I cannot find where to change the CC7 volume for any VST instrument! Very frustrating.
When I press play Dorico resets and decreases the CC7 Volume control no matter what I do. There is NO expression map and even IF there is DOrico just does whatever it wants. Why would they do this?

I WANT TO control the volume of the instrument.

In the mixer, use the instrument’s midi slider or draw on its CC7 line in the lower part of the Key Editor.
