VST Connect Performer - Local Connection Failed

I just installed VST Connect Pro on my Mac and then installed VST Connect Performer on a PC running version 7. I also installed Performer on a MacBook. The MacBook connects just fine over the wifi and everything works fine between Performer and Connect Pro.

My PC runs Performer, but when I try to connect to Connect Pro, it gives a connection error " Local Connection Failed."

The PC is a wired LAN connection directly into the same router as my Mac. I’ve disabled the Windows Firewall.
Any ideas?

I upgraded the PC to version 10 from 7 and the problem went away… connects fine now.
