Vst connect questions

I own a copy of cubase eight. I bought the software because of VST connect. I’ve had very poor results. I was wondering for those who have cubase 8 or Cubase 9 using vst connect, what are your results? I will be collaborating with someone in China. Are there huge issues trying to set up a router etc.? Are there latency issues? Any thing that you can help with would be awesome!

I’ve never had any success with this on cb9 but would really like to get it working. I understand networking, but VST connect always fought back at every turn.

Would be good to hear others opinions/tips.
