This is my first post, so I acknowledge this is likely a very novice issue. Let me explain: with recent global events meaning I have a lot more time on my hands and have in turn returned to recording for the first time in over a decade.
I have an AKAI MPK mini II and Cubase 10.5 Artist. I can hear the VST instruments played through the MIDI controller but when I opt to record it retracts to the generic piano sound. I seem to be missing the technical know how with this, having previously never fiddled with controllers when I last recorded.
Can anyone explain this to me, please?
