Hello I have a question about Export from VST Live into Cubase. I recently tried to import VST Live “Media project” into Cubase, but it didnt work very well.
We started using VST Live as band and I did some songs with MIDI track, tempo and signsture track, I thought I could easily transfer that project into Cubase project, so I could for example have complete click track in Cubase ready for recording. But it doesnt work, when I import VST Live project into Cubase, I get all tracks etc, but signature and tempo track are off (time not correct, tempo still cubase default), and so are MIDI tracks.
I just wanted to ask, if its not fully supported to import back and forth, or are there any other settings to check and make it work?
Excuse my ENG
Thank you Jonas
Hi!
The same trick for both directions:
Need to create
TEMPO
SIGNATURE
tracks first.
Then it will work regardless VSTL2Cubase or Cubase2VSTL
Oh, I didnt know that, thank you, Ill try it that way. Also, do you mean create them for ex. in Cubase before I import VST Project, or those tracks must be the first thing created in VSTL before i even try to export it? If it is the second thing, I guess no export for me
hi, same issue, I usually export from cubase to vstlive without any issue about tempo and signature.
now i tried the viceversa, from vstlive, to cubase, same prj i did, and NO TEMPO AND SIGNATURE are loaded into cubase, 12 o 13.
(and i tried to create the tracks before import on cubase, nothing .)
it doesn’ work for me.
Hi,
I re-checked it with the latest VST Live Version (2.1.3) and Cubase 13. That’s what I’ve tested.
- Create a Cubase project with a Signature, Tempo and MIDI Track
- Export it. Make sure that Signature, Tempo and MIDI Track are ticked
- Start VST Live and import it
- VST Live imported the project correctly.
What am I missing?
Michael.
Hi, I meant the other way around I have complete MIDI + tempo + signature in VST Live and I want to bring that into Cubase, that is where things dont work out. When I do this, tempo and signature wont write into Cubase and all MIDI tracks, etc. are off time.
… arg, yes. I am really sorry, @JeyJey80. And I am sorry again : It’s a bug and we’ll fix it.
Michael.
(that’s what was my issue too, from vstlive to cubase ! thanks for support!)
2.1.4 not fixed yet @Spork
