VST Live 3 Camera issue

Hi!

I‘m really excited about the new camera director function, but unfortunately, I‘m not able to get any picture in the director, also not in preview. VST live 3 detects the webcam of my mac book pro M3, and also the cam from a linked iPhone, and I can choose them as an input in the video-channel but - no picture.

I don‘t find my issue.

Can anyone help me how to configurate it?

Hi @Daniel_Mecklenbeck,

Could you please check whether the orange “Monitor” button is enabled? The order of the steps is important. Please try the following:

  1. Start VST Live and create a new project
  2. Select TRACKS
  3. Add a Video Track
  4. Select the Video Input
  5. Enable the Monitor control (orange)

Please note: if the Monitor control is enabled before selecting the video input, monitoring will not work. This is a known issue.
If that happens, simply disable the Monitor control and enable it again after selecting the input.

Best regards,
Michael

Hi! There is a short video on YouTube for VL3! I’m showing how to do! (Top video features). And yes, if no camera-view, toggle the orange mic (mon) icon

Thanks a lot. I didn‘t realize that.

Now it works for sure. But next question: How can I create the „video-automation-Track“ to switch between the cameras automaticly? Cannot find any instruction…

Telling you how I did on the video, but that was my choice. I used my 4 btn MIDI foot ctrl to switch between my video-sources. Used the MIDI CC’s for controlling Actions&Shortcuts

Of course you can automate the same with a prepared MIDI track for example

Does it work with a midi track I create in VST-Live? Maybe its a dump question, but I made automations for quad Cortex or for x32 - it was no problem. But I don‘t understand how it works internally.
