VST Live Crash on 128 BPM

My VST Live is crashing when I play a song with a BPM of 128 after one bar.
This happens every single time even if the song is completely empty.

Is there any solution to this?

Hi,

I’ve tried this

  1. Start VL, New Project,
  2. Change Tempo to 128
  3. Select TRACKS
  4. Start Transport

No crash. So, there must something wrong with your project. Do you have something special? Can you please check if you have any crash logs? Please see inside the following folder. If you have any crash files, please send them.

win : C:\Users\YourUserName\Documents\Steinberg\CrashDumps
macOS : macOS : /Users/Your_Username/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports

Thank you,
Michael.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply.
Sadly I have no crash logs. That folder doesn’t exist anywhere on my system.

I still have the same problem even on a different system and with completely new projects. Every other BPM works fine. Also it only crashes if the Metronome is enabled.

I’m using a Behringer UMC 404HD with it’s current drivers.

Thank you,
Daniel

Hi,

I just found a solution.
After I changed the sample rate of my audio driver everything worked.

… thank you, @DanielFein. It’s indeed a conversion problem with the Metronome running BPM 128 and some sample rates. We have fixed it and the fix will be added to the next Update.

Hello,.
Same problem here at 160 bpm. 44khz, Behringer xr18. Windows 10, Amd Ryzen 7 Lap. In which release will it be fixed?
Greetings, Rainer

… the fix has been pushed to the next version. Mid/End January,
Michael.
