VST Live Folder Data

Hello,

I have a Folder where I save all my VST Live projects, and inside that Folder I create a subfolder for each VST project or song .
I notice VST also creates its own folders name (audio-layers-parts-songs-stacks-tempo) see attached image.

What are they used for?

I would like all data for a project inside its own folder, and it appears to me that VST saves additional information of all projects mixed together in this general folders.

Is ther a way to specify where to safe VST Data?

Regards,
VS

A VST Live project consists of a .vlprj file, and its assets. Assets are media files such as audio, midi, video, dmx data etc, and templates and presets for all kind of VST Live objects like Layers, Stacks, Parts etc.
If you are uncertain and want to consolidate your project to make sure you have everything needed, we recommend the „Save Archive“ function. It will copy all media files used, and optionally also assets like Layers etc. You will see that it again creates all those folders in the destination directory. They are part of the project.

Ome more thing: when younstart a new project, create a folder as you already do, and immediately save your empty project there. This way you will make sure that all related assets go there (also check „Im port media files“ in preferences). As said before, using „Save Archive“ and continuing with the saved archive should yield the same for exsisting projects.
