VST Live - Horizontal vs. Vertical Track meters

Hi.

I am currently trialing VST LIve 2.

In Cubase, each track has a small vertical meter to show activity,

Snag_f1e4454

and with this the tracks can be quite narrow (so many of them can be seen at once) , allowing the user to see exactly which tracks are producing output at any time.

In VST Live 2, I only see a horizontal track meter:

This means the tracks have to be very wide (tall) to see the activity, and thus it is not possible to have a good overview of any project’s activity (except for the very smallest of projects).

Is there a way to switch to vertical track meters instead?

If not, I really think this is a serious design flaw. It is certainly a deal breaker for me.

Please advise. Thanks.

Given that VST Live is not a DAW, and the Tracks part is supposed to be a backing track player, that seems like a bit of a stretch.

But we’ll have a look if we can improve.

You could open the mixer sub-view in the bottom window and expand the Song Group to see track activity.

Coming next version (thanks again to Micha!)
