VST Live Issues wParts

Does anyone else have issues when using more than 1 part in a song where the first time through the song the volume on your instruments are almost clipping until the second part begins?

If I start the song over after the second part then the volume is normal on the first part.

You should always use Preload Parts and sometimes, even after preloading, you might still hear a slight click. To avoid this, I first perform the part preload, and then I manually go through all the parts using the left/right arrow keys.

After doing this, I usually don’t have any issues. I work with large projects that contain many parts, and stacks in each part.

I am preloading, but still have the problem and it is a pain to go through 20 or 30 songs, so I don’t use parts very often as a consequence.

I’d guess you have a MIDI volume level set in Part2 but Part1 is set to “not set”.

Part 2 is a copy of part 1. The only change is the marker

We can only make suggestions based on available info . It’s a logical conclusion that something in Part2 is affecting the volume somehow, be it the slider, MIDI track, automation, quick control, or something else.

My bad, I had songs preloading, but not the parts preloaded. Once I set the parts to preload everything is working fine.

Lol - happens to the best of us. Glad you found the problem.

So every since I started preloading Parts VST Live is not unloading from memory when I shut it down, forcing me to End Task in task manager or restart my computer before it VST will reload. I’ve tested this several times and have to manually end task or restart the computer.
