VST Live Pre-Release 3.0.23 Available

Hi,

Yes, it’s not Friday - but we want to continue improving VST Live 3.

No VST Live 2 this time? That’s right. Of course, VST Live 2 users will receive the next Pre-Release on Friday as usual.

The focus of this version is the video engine. It brings performance improvements, better compatibility, and increased stability with various crash fixes.

You can download it here.
The version history is available here.

See you,
Michael

Thank you!

Installed it, now most of my tracks are not playing anymore.

Error video here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1so7911R_39zXScCHCsKm5m8SR--6HbRh/view?usp=sharing

And it’s different which tracks are playing audio and which ones aren’t, depending on the computer I am running it on (desktop/laptop). The only thing that they have in common is that some tracks aren’t working.

At this point, I haven’t had a single useable stable version of v3 and while it’s commendable that there are weekly updates, I don’t know how anyone can be using this for gigs?

Is v2 working more reliably? All I need is audio and video output at this point.

On win 11 for me:

  • video engine videos are ok, 3 on same monitor out is ok, director is ok.
  • video input is ok while live feed monitor, recorded clip from integrated webcam still replays at double framerate (it seems it’s only me?!?!?!)

samplerate realtime conversion:

  • Win System 44.1, generic ASIO 44,1 , files 44,1 all good
  • Win system 48, generic ASIO 48, files 44,1 - only few files playing, rest silent (both quality and perfomrance settings)
  • Win system 48, Generic ASIO 44,1, files 44,1 - all plays good

Apart from samplerate conversion it seems very stable for me.

Cheers, Ciro.

Why are we surprised? Everyone’s probably happy with everything. Only a few are outraged that the same dawprojects that was announced with the release of version 2 still doesn’t work: Import and export of media projects and dawprojects - #9 by sergeantt67 .
The automation bug: Bug in Automation List Editor Position hasn’t been resolved for six months, and I think everyone can come up with many more examples.
I don’t know how much disrespect one must have for their customers to mock them like that. I can’t find any other reasonable words anymore.
We are constantly promised that everything will get better soon, but… things are still the same.

Until you have enough programmers who can quickly fix the bugs and turn things around, nothing will change! Because right now, you’re not capable of doing anything about it!
